Urgent Needs

Our mission at Reece's Rainbow encompasses every facet of orphan care.  This includes raising grants for adoption, assisting with medical emergencies and visas, and humanitarian aid and material shipments.

At this time, urgent needs exist at the baby house and preschool at Artemevisk in Ukraine.   We have already had two families adopt children with Down syndrome from that orphanage, and one adopt one of our "Other Angels".   Their industrial washing machine broke down, and all of the money that had been raised to purchase new furniture for the children must now be used to pay for the repair of this unit.  Reece's Rainbow is collaborating with Operation Ukraine (www.operation-ukraine.org) to assist with orphanage needs.  All monies donated here are tax deductible to the fullest extent of the law, and will be given directly to Operation Ukraine for wire to the orphanage director.   See the list of needs below:

Artemevisk Baby House 

REPLACEMENT WINDOWS & DOORS:  

This is an urgent need.  Winter is coming, and currently, water pours into the building through rotted window casings and broken windows in this building.  The same is true for cold air, which leads to perpetual illness for the children.  This moisture is also conducive to mold and mildew, which when breathed in regularly can cause serious lung disease and death.   The total needed to replace all of the windows and doors is $7540.  

As of March 16, 2008, we have raised $1700!
