Program Information
Congratulations on your decision to adopt a child with
"UP syndrome"! All of us here at 
are thrilled for you, and here to help you in any way
possible. Although the paperwork is daunting and the costs exorbitant, you
likely feel called by God to reach out in this way. Answering God's
call is rarely FREE! We applaud you
for following your heart and accepting the GIFT of life with a child with Down
syndrome or other special need.
Many families have lots of questions about what life
will really be like with a child with Down syndrome (if they don't already know). Every child is
different, every need is different, but there are dozens of organizations and
support groups available to answer any questions you might have before you
adopt. Please visit our page for

offers a unique way to raise funds for your adoption, and
gives donors a much more personal experience when choosing to contribute to
this adoption ministry. It is a "Family
Sponsorship Program", and enables us to post a blurb about you, your
family, and the child you are hoping to adopt. Your one time
$25 application fee covers your posting to this
sponsorship listing.
- This sponsorship program promotes the
international adoption of children with Down syndrome.
- Any adoptive family or
qualified individual from anywhere in the
world is eligible.
- Any child with Down syndrome is eligible for
sponsorship.
- Starting in January 2008,
families hoping to adopt any of our "Other Angels"
are also welcome to apply and fundraise through this program.
- Applicants must be actively engaged in or have
an approved home study from a licensed agency.
- Applicants must be able to
pay for their own initial costs: INS apps, home study, documentation.
- The amount you earn towards
the adoption of your chosen child
will depend on the amount contributed to their sponsorship "account".
- There is a one-time application fee of $25
for posting,
which serves as a donation to the "raising awareness" fund.
- We will disburse funds
directly to your agency or facilitator at the latest possible date, so as to
have as much time as possible for money to be raised through your Sponsorship
Listing. This is usually after you have been give a court or appointment
date.
- Grants are legally placed on
the CHILD you are adopting.
- This is an interactive
program, so you will always be kept abreast of your donation totals.
- Once you have applied,
you are in the program and will receive all funds which are donated to your
family through your sponsorship listing. You can help increase this
amount by spreading the word, sharing the website, and letting friends and
family members know that by donating through us, their contribution is tax
deductible.
- "Reece's Rainbow" has no control over how much is donated to your family's
sponsorship fund.
- In the event that your
adoption should not go through, for whatever reason, your $25 application fee
is non-refundable. The donations your child earned in your sponsorship account or
whatever was disbursed to your agency will be remain as a GRANT on that
particular child, in an effort to locate another adoptive family quickly.
- Reece's Rainbow does, in all good faith,
provide the most accurate information about each child as it is given to us by
partner adoption agencies. We can not be held liable or accountable for
any changes in a child's status.
