Other Special Angels

Although Reece's Rainbow is focused on finding families for children with Down syndrome, it is difficult to ignore the thousands of other faces in the world who were born "more perfect than the rest of us".    These diagnoses include spina bifida, cerebral palsy, hypospadias, limb deformities/differences, FAS (fetal alchohol syndrome), Treacher Collins, blindness, and many others.  Of course, each of those children is hidden away out of shame and ignorance, just like our children with Down syndrome.

This page offers additional exposure for some children whom we know are available through our already-established adoption agency partnerships.     Any questions about these children should be directed to the agency contacts themselves. 

1) As of April 13, 2008, our "Other Angels" are now eligible for the same grant donation opportunities as our children with Down syndrome.  Your financial sponsorship can literally change the course of one or more of these beautiful children!

2) Families committing to adopt these children ARE eligible to participate in our Family Sponsorship Program to earn donations from their friends and family towards the cost of their adoption.

3)  Advocacy groups which are focused on a particular special need (ie; Treacher Collins, FAS, Blindness, CP, Spina Bifida, limb differences, etc) are welcome to raise grant money as a group and offer that for a family seeking to adopt our waiting Other Angels.  Please inquire if this is something you might be interested in!
