We work with several agencies who have waiting children in Vietnam.   Vietnam is located in Southeastern Asia, bordering the Gulf of Thailand, Gulf of Tonkin, and South China Sea, alongside China, Laos, and Cambodia.  Vietnam is a poor, densely populated country that is recovering from the ravages of war, the loss of financial support from the old Soviet Bloc, and the rigidities of a centrally planned economy.  Many families find themselves unable to care for the basic needs of their child. 

Infants and children 4 months up to 15 years are available. The children reside in government-run orphanages, where most receive individualized care by an orphanage nanny, staff to child ratio is typically 1:2.    They are very well cared for.
