Peru is in western South America, bordering the Southern Pacific Ocean, between Chile and Ecuador. It is home to the world famous archeological sites of Macchu Picchu and the Nasca lines in Southern Peru. Ancient Peru was the seat of several prominent Andean civilizations, most notably that of the Incas, whose empire was captured by the Spanish conquistadores in 1533. Peruvian independence was declared in 1821. After a dozen years of military rule, Peru returned to democratic leadership in 1980.
Peru is a beautiful, diverse country to visit. What a wonderful family vacation it could be during your adoption trip! Not everyone can say they have stood on the top of Macchu Picchu!
Orphanage care is very good, and the children are loved and well-adjusted. They have access to therapies and special education.

Michael is a handsome, happy, and active little boy! He is almost 8 years old, and has been blessed to be very loved and well taken care of! But here he is waving to his new mama, wherever she may be! FULL MEDICAL and SOCIAL RECORDS available. Michael is described as very loving and affectionate. He is well adjusted and attached to his caregivers. He is very active and physically capable...a typical boy! He receives therapy regularly and continues to work on his speech. Please consider Michael! His adoption will open doors for so many more children in this wonderful, but small, program!
