 How To Sponsor/Donate For an Adopting Family Our Family Sponsorship Program (FSP) is a great way to help those families who have made a commitment to rescue one or more our waiting children. Even with reduced fees, this adoption journey will cost families upwards of $25,000, so every penny they can raise through family, friends, colleagues, and churches is a God-send for these folks! These families have taken a leap of faith, and they are counting on your help to bring their child home out of a dismal life and no future.
On our website, you will find these families separated into (5) categories: New (within the last 2 weeks), homestudy in progress, compiling their dossier, getting ready to travel, and home. The process can take anywhere from 6-18 months, depending on the country, but your financial support early in the process really encourages the families throughout their journey!
 Donations are legally given on behalf of the child, which is what makes your gift fully tax deductible. FSP grant earnings are not disbursed until after the family has submitted their dossier and been given a date to travel, so there is no risk of loss of donated funds. (if you would like to be able to help the family with the earlier costs, you would need to give directly to them without any tax benefits). These grant donations are typically paid directly to their agency for final fees or for airfare. We respectfully request that if you make a donation via Paypal, that you please include an extra 3% to cover the fees incurred from that to Reece's Rainbow. The *entire amount* donated is tax deductible, and you will receive a receipt at the end of the year for that gift.
If you are planning to make a sizeable gift (more than $1000), please either include the extra 3% for Paypal's fees, or consider sending a personal or cashier's check to avoid those extra costs. Regardless of your method of donation, PLEASE INCLUDE THE FAMILY'S NAME in your transaction or on your check.
***If a family should not be able to complete their adoption, any funds raised in their FSP grant account will remain with that child as a grant for the next family hoping to adopt them. Your gift remains tax deductible and life-saving, no matter who adopts them!
