      Dennis  (9)

      BOY, Born March 18, 2006

      I LOST MY FAMILY!

Dennis has lost his family at the 11th hour, and is in crisis need of a paper-ready, USCIS approved family to save him from an institution he can't be adopted out of.

Dennis is a darling little boy with blonde hair and big blue eyes.   He is not very active, and he struggles with pulmonary artery stenosis and rickets.    He needs to get HOME, so he can have adequate medical care, sunshine, nutrition....so he really has a chance to achieve his true potential.   He is an orphanage favorite, but he won't survive a transfer to the institution.    Please consider rescuing this munchkin!!
Regrettably, this orphanage is one of the poorer ones, with very little outside aid and very little hope.    All of the children are tiny and undernourished.  These children are immediately transferred at 4, and have little chance of survival where they are sent.  All of our waiting children need families, but these have a critical need.  Please consider one of these children soon!!
I have $7500 in my grant fund towards the cost of my adoption!
       Zhenya (9)

      Boy, Born January 10, 2007

Look who is finally cleared for adoption! And look how he has GROWN! Zhenya does have an oval window, and a congenital cataract in his right eye. But he is doing great, is strong and active and a very happy child!

I have $1629in my grant fund towards the cost of my adoption!

       Alec (9)

      BOY, Born June 2, 2006

Baby Alec....goodness, even at 3, he is still so much a baby. Alec is HEALTHY, with no heart condition. He does struggle with rickets (lack of Vitamin D), which can be helped once home. It is critical to get him home so his bones are not permanently damaged from it. He has also has cryptorchidism. This can often be corrected with surgery (if just undescended). He needs a mama who can love him and hold him and not leave him sitting all day long. He needs SUNSHINE!!

I have $ 5045 in my grant fund towards the cost of my adoption!

      Joseph

      Boy, Born September 20, 2004

SIGNIFICANT RISK, PLEASE ADOPT ME SOON!!

Joseph is a handsome and HEALTHY little boy who is waiting for his "forever family".   He is the middle child of foreign exchange students (graduate level) who have since returned to their native country with their other children :(   Joseph is truly stranded in this orphanage, and needs a family ASAP.  He is already 5 and needs a family right away.
Joseph does have clubbed feet as well, along with chronic tonsillitis, so those two things need to be addressed as soon as possible for him!

From an adoptive family who visited with him:  "Joseph was the first to run out and greet us from the groupa, constantly hugging our legs, wanting to be picked up and trying to say "hello".  He is verbal but not with intelligible sounds.  He is very inquisitive and responds to caregivers, after some coaxing! At one point he took the hat off of my friend and put it on his head, not wanting to give it back.   He did not get upset when they helped him give the hat back, but went right to his next objective-being picked up!  He walks without visible problems, and appears healthy.  (Without labored breathing or pallor)"

UPDATE:  Joseph's paperwork is CLEAR and he is free to be adopted!

      Please consider rescuing Joseph!

I have $6509 in my grant fund towards the cost of my adoption!

      Artyom (2)

      Boy, Born November 19, 2005

Artyom is HEALTHY, with a smile that can light up a room. He is an orphanage favorite, and is described as very friendly, affectionate, active, and happy.  He has very little time left before being sent to the institution, so someone PLEASE SAVE HIM.
From one of our adoptive families who visited with him in August 2009:  "I saw Artyom today, he is such a doll!!  He is chunky and walks perfect. We were waiting in the hallway and he came out of the baby room like a little man... walked up to each one of us as if he was saying hello.   He pointed at a few pictures they had hanging on the wall,  then the nurses noticed he was out of the room and started telling him to come back in the room to the group.   He looked at them and shook his hand as if to say "leave me alone!" and  we all started laughing.   He has got to be adopted!   He would bring such joy to any family and looks extremely healthy and very smart."
Please give Artyom the chance to have a family of his own!

      Charlie (5)

      Boy, Born August 18, 2004

This darling little boy needs a family right away. He has light brown hair and brown eyes. He is HEALTHY, with only strabismus as a complication to his DS. His grandmother visited the first year of his life, but not since then.

From his caregivers: " The boy is calm and very kind. He dresses himself and eats himself. Speaks some words. Understand when he is addressed by adults, performs tasks on elementary level. Very interested in toys, can concentrate his attention on books, likes musical instruments very much, and especially enjoys "playing" the piano. "
From an adoptive family who visited with him: Charlie was a little shy at first staying near his caregiver but then with prompting began to sing a song and dance with his caregiver. He was able to perform several songs and poems while doing the hand motions with her from memory. After a while he too would come and give us hugs around our legs. He has more intelligible verbalization but still some speech impaired. He is ambulatory and does not have any visible impairments, appearing healthy. (Without labored breathing or pallor)

      Alyona (13)
      Girl, Born September 5, 2006

Alyona is a gorgeous little girl with brown hair and brown eyes. She is described as quite high functioning, very sweet, and very happy! She does have an ASD (atrial septal defect), but it is not considered serious and may well have closed on it's own already. She is walking and eating independently, follows directions well, and is an orphanage favorite!

Her caregivers tell us she is speaking now, walking and eating on her own, and is truly a doll baby. She is described as a gentle girl, a good imitator, and she loves tor ead books :) She is very loving and intelligent, and they really hope a family will come for her!

Both Ivanna and Alyona are in the same orphanage and can be adopted together.

      Marshall (12)

      Boy, Born January 11, 2007

This little muffin is a bundle of sunshine! Marshall is HEALTHY and happy and doing very well. He has blonde hair and blue eyes and is a caregiver favorite! He will really benefit from a loving family.

From ana doptive family who visited with him in December 2009:    "  He is a sweet boy with a great disposition. He plays mainly on his own and seems to be content that way. I have not seen him walking, but I have seen him pull to a stand. He is teething right now so he is constantly chewing on toys and has a runny nose. He got hurt the other day and as one of the workers picked him up he melted right into her arms and allowed her to comfort him. I was encouraged by that because it means that even though he seems not to be very interactive, he is still receptive and wanting cuddles and attention. He really is a sweet little boy and he has great potential. He will blossom with a family and will greatly benefit from physical therapy!  "

       Elizabeth (12)

      Girl, Born November 16, 2004

Liza is a darling, happy, and helpful little girl who is waiting for her forever family. She is already 5 and facing imminent institutionalization, potentially to a place she can NOT be adopted from later :(
Liza is HEALTHY and doing so well.   From one of our adoptive families who visited with her recently:
"My impression of her is that she is very loving. Quite the cuddle bug. Very even tempered. Laid back, easy going. Likes hugs, a LOT! Middle of the line as far as development, not super ahead of the class, but certainly not far behind others in her groupa either. Tons of potential with a little love!
She walks and smiles.  She clearly understands why we are here, and you can tell she wants her own family too. I really want a MOMMY for her!"
From a missionary and developmental specialist who recently visited with her:  Elizabeth is a very friendly little girl who craves attention, especially hugs, from everyone who shows up at her Baby House. Elizabeth is high functioning and is able to imitate gestures and words (both English and Russian). She displays a good attention span, considering her experiences, when presented with a learning activity such as nesting cups. She is very eager to please and listens and waits for directions. When she realized that the 'Mama's' visiting were not for her, she pouted and ran to a careworker, who ignored her and offered her no comfort. She then sat to the side looking so sad. She demonstrated the ability to learn. She is able to feed and dress herself and was in underwear instead of diapers, so she is at least toilet 'regulated'. She is so sweet and would make a wonderful big sister or little sister and deserves a family of her own. She is due to be transferred very soon!!!  I have a video available also!!! "

      Ruslana  (10)

      Girl, Born January 21, 2005

SIGNIFICANT RISK, PLEASE ADOPT ME SOON!!

Ruslana is a beautiful, sunshiny little girl.  She has brown hair and big blue eyes.  She is nearly 5 now and facing imminent institutionalization.  She can not be held at the baby house any longer.    She has had FOUR families commit for her and not complete the adoption for various reasons, through no fault of Ruslana's!   She needs a family who knows what to expect fom a child who has been living in an institutional setting for 5 years, and how to help achieve her true potential!  She will have to be adopted out of the institution.

Ruslana has particularly low tone, and has not had therapy, so she is still not walking.  However, we all know that with therapy and focus and a loving family, she will blossom and show the world just how amazing and resilient our children really are!

Ruslana does have an oval window, but she is not considered in need of surgery at this time.   You would want to follow up with a cardiologist once you are home, though.   She *may* have a thyroid condition, but this is easily controlled with medication.

Please give Ruslana the opportunity to be all she can be!!

"HEY, can you hear me???", she says. "I'm still here waiting for you to come get me!"

Miss Anna was born with an ASD, but that has not slowed her down! She is described as quite high functioning! She can run and jump and climb and is a very active, and social little girl.    Anna and Tanner are in the same orphanage and can be adopted together!

As of July 2009, God is still watching over her and she is still at the baby house!! Please don't let her end up in an institution!
I have $5000in my grant fund towards the cost of my adoption!

      Ilya (14 or 7)

      Boy, Born November 28, 2004

Little Ilya is such a doll baby....he has blond hair and blue eyes. He is tiny for his age, and not very mobile at this time. But he is quite a chunk, and a loving, happy, affectionate child!!! Makes you want to snuggle with him all the time!!   Ilya was diagnosed with duplication of the left kidney (diagnosis from 2006), and a PDA. However, the cardiologist does not see signs of impaired circulation and feel he does not require surgery. Ilya can sit, roll over, and crawl, but he is not yet walking or eating independently. He has tremendous potential with therapy, please give him the chance to be all he can be!   Ilya is already 4, so is facing imminent institutionalization. PLEASE SAVE ILYA!

      Lena (14HPX-2)
      Girl, Born July 5, 2006

      Russia

Lena is a darling little girl with platinum blonde hair and striking blue eyes. She is already 3 years old. She is sitting, crawling, and walking with one hand of support. She does have strabismus (crossed/lazy eye) and minor hip dysplasia (most likely just her low tone). She was born with an ASD and has pulmonary artery stenosis, along with an extra chord on her left ventricle. She will definitely need to see a cardiologist once she gets home, so she needs a family quickly! Lena was also born with a deformation of her bladder. Sounds like a laundry list of problems, but she is a darling girl and the staff LOVE her! They really hope she will find a family soon.

      Lilya  (5)

      Girl, Born August 12, 2004

Lilya is a darling little girl with blonde hair and blue eyes. She was born from first pregnancy, she was one of the twins who were born via Cesarean operation. At birth she weighed 2,480 kilos and was 45 cm in height. The second child of twin pair was healthy. Mother rejected Lilya at maternity house. Lilya was diagnosed having DS, mental retardation, atrioventricular syndrome in well-balanced form, without defect of interventricular septum (surgery is advisable).      Lilya is almost 5 and is blessed to still be at her baby house! She can still be saved from the institution.   Lilya is very kind, tender, calm. Understands when she is addressed by adults, repeats actions after adults, performs tasks on elementary level. She dresses herself and eats herself, independently. Repeats certain words after adults and speaks some independently. Likes to play with colorful toys. Likes to look through books with pictures/drawings and list them thru. Puts elementary puzzles and pyramids together.   Lilya is very smart and has amazing potential. She is in the same orphanage with several other children and could be adopted with them. Please give her the chance she needs to reach her potential!

From one of our adoptive families who visited with her in July 2009: Lilya is beautiful, soft, and gentle. She is walking and has a smile that lights up the room! She reached out and stroked my cheek with her chubby little hand. She would make a wonderful daughter!

      Stephanie (hh3k, Russia region 5)

      Girl, Born August 20, 2005

This beautiful little girl has not been in the mood for smiles, but she sure is pretty with her blonde hair and blue eyes.    Little Stephanie was admitted to the orphanage when she was 1 year old. She has typical Trisomy 21 (Down syndrome) with a minor heart condition (not specified in her records). Her records indicate hydrocephaly, but she does not appear to be hydrocephalic at all. Stephanie is considered moderately delayed, but she is learning and is attaching well to her caregivers. They say she is loving and "cuddly", and desires attention.   Stephanie has SO much potential in a loving, supportive family environment, with access to therapy and education. I can't wait to see her smiling and happy in the arms of her new family!   Stephanie is almost 4 and will be facing the mental institution within the year. Hope someone will come forward for this beauty and give her something to smile about!

What a precious, lively, glowing with happiness little boy! Andrey is facing institutionalization very soon....I can't bear the thought of that happening to him. He will bring the greatest joy to any family who adopts him! We so hope he will be saved by a committed family!   Andrey does have an ASD and a PDA. He will likely require surgery when gets home, but this heart condition does not seem to have impaired him much! He is very active, crawling, playing, and very lively! He is an orphanage favorite and is loved by all of the staff and the other children. They desperately want to find a family for him right away!  He is up and learning to walk with a push walker, but will likely have to be adopted from the institution. Please save him!    From one of our adoptive families who visited with him in May of 2009: " He is such a camera lover. I snuggled him for quite a while!! He can pull to standing position, but I didn't see him take any steps but I think he is a bit lazy. LOL The caregivers think he can do much more than he lets on but is just to lazy to do it! He has a beautiful smile and engages well. He tracks and has great eye contact. What a cutie!!!

      Girl, Born 2004

SIGNIFICANT RISK, PLEASE ADOPT ME SOON!!

This beautiful little girl has dark hair and very deep, dark eyes.  She is so pretty!  Mariam was born preterm at 36 weeks pregnancy.  She has MOSAIC Down syndrome.  She does not have a heart condition.   At 2 years, 3 months she was not able to sit up by herself, yet she was able to crawl.  By now she might be sitting unassisted, but it is clear that early intervention therapies will benefit her greatly.  She loves to play with her toys, and like many children with Down syndrome, she has a great ability to focus on the one thing she is doing and ignore her surroundings.  (man, I wish I could block out half the stuff I deal with daily!)    According to the doctor, she loves to be loved on :)    She eats well and has 8 teeth.   She has been vaccinated according to her age. Blood tests for HIV, Syphilis, Hepatitis B and C were all negative.

I have $5000 in my grant fund towards the cost of my adoption!

She was started on diuretics early in her life, and is still taking them.  She will need to be seen by a cardiologist upon arrival in the US to determine if any surgery will be necessary.

Angelina is a precious little girl who desperately needs a forever family.   She has been waiting far too long to become clear for international adoption and the chance that a family can give her in life!   Please consider Angelina!
